Hello everyone! My name is Amanda Shirk. I am a Florida native that started learning how to paint professionally in 2002 in Charlotte County. Pineal Painting is a result of many years of excellent clients who have suggested that I open my own company. Well, I finally did it. Thank you to everyone who have given support thus far! I could not have done it without all of you amazing people and I appreciate You. I am thankful everyday that I get to do something that I love.

My painting adventure began as a job. I quickly realized that I enjoyed learning every aspect of the paint trade. I was taught by some of the very best tradesmen when I started learning back in 2002. There are two kinds of people when it comes to painting. The ones who enjoy it and the ones who hate it. I think painting can have therapeutic and meditative qualities as well as an artistic and creative aspect. I can transform a whole living space into something completely new. And, I can make peoples visions and ideas come to reality. It is extremely fulfilling to me when I see a project come to life and the smiles on faces. 

It took me a lot of hard work, many years of sweat, blood, near heat strokes and sunburns to obtain the amount of knowledge and experience that I have acquired in this skill and I am grateful to those who taught me all the tricks of the trade. I am also grateful to have been given a chance to become a painter. Back when I started learning I was the only girl painter. That in itself created a lot of challenges to my learning process. Now, more and more girls are getting into the skilled trades and its nice to see. I wish that someone would have taught me about trade schools when I was an adolescent. I would have found painting much sooner. 

Now, I am into my 5th year in business as a paint contractor. It has been an amazing ride. I have met every single goal that I have set forth and looking forward to setting more.
